• The reference implementation for (de)coding the field types in the message structure can be found at: https://github.com/quaquel/bangladesh_roadtransport/blob/master/simulation_model/message_v2.py. Details about the field types can be found at https://djutils.org/manual/djutils-serialization.
  

• The reference implementation for controlling a model can be found at https://github.com/quaquel/bangladesh_roadtransport/blob/master/simulation_model/simzmq.py. This is module specifies a ModelStructureInterface for controlling a model via ZeroMQ. Therefore, the functions do not directly command a model (e.g. a java model), but sends corresponding messages to ZeroMQ.
  

• A reference implementation of the FederateStarter in Python can be found at: https://github.com/quaquel/bangladesh_roadtransport/blob/master/simulation_model/federatestarter.py. This code is equivalent to the Java FederateStarter that is documented at https://sim0mq.org/docs/latest/apidocs/org/sim0mq/federatestarter/FederateStarter.html, with code at https://sim0mq.org/docs/latest/xref/org/sim0mq/federatestarter/FederateStarter.html#FederateStarter.
